The aim is to provide pathways for indoor hockey in Brisbane / Queensland. The more specific aims are:
- To improve the standard of indoor hockey for players
- To provide qualified coaches for our representative teams
- To gain success for Brisbane teams at State Titles / Events
- To provide development opportunities for players, coaches, umpires and officials
Nominations for team officials (Coach, Manager, Selectors) and player nominations must be submitted via RevSport - Events
Only players who are Primary registered and playing in Brisbane Indoor Hockey League (BIHL) competitions are eligible for selection. Players are expected to attend all selection & training sessions. The selection panel will generally comprise one (1) of the appointed coaches plus a minimum of two (2) independents selectors to pick teams with oversight by BIHL management. Representative teams are covered in Section 9 of our published Competition Rules & Requirements.
Brisbane Indoor has aligned with HQ in respect to players ages in each group - refer Hockey Qld Age Requirements 2026 document
